Who we are

VENATUS is the shotgun brand of U.S.-based Tagoforce Defense LLC, the business responsible for the handling of information described in this notice. This notice covers the VENATUS website, contact form and product assistant. Other websites and independent dealers have their own privacy practices.

For privacy questions or requests, email info@venatusarms.com. Our published company addresses are 1921 Carnegie Ave. Ste 3-J, Santa Ana, CA 92705, USA, and 2161 Kingston Ct, Marietta, GA 30067, USA.

Enquiries and information you provide

The contact form collects your name, email address and message, an optional model, and the site language. Resend delivers submitted enquiries to an inbox managed by the website administrator for VENATUS, so the enquiry can be handled and a reply sent to you. Authorised administrators and team members may access enquiries for this purpose.

If sending is unavailable, the form prepares an email on your device instead. Nothing is sent this way until you send it yourself. Opening it in your email app or copying it to your clipboard involves those services and your device settings. The form does not save entries in a website database or browser storage. Include only what is needed; do not send payment details, identity documents or sensitive personal information.

The product assistant

When you use Ask VENATUS, your question, recent conversation history, site language and the model being viewed are sent to OpenAI to generate an answer. This information reaches OpenAI before we try to remove personal details from the separate record we save. We tell OpenAI not to save responses for later retrieval. OpenAI may still keep records to detect and prevent misuse for up to 30 days by default, or longer in the circumstances described in OpenAI’s data controls. By default, OpenAI does not use information sent through this website to train its models; this depends on the account’s data-sharing settings.

We keep a separate question-and-answer record in Neon, in the United States, to review visitor questions and improve the site and assistant. It includes the time, language, the model being viewed and a random code that groups messages from the same conversation. This code is kept in the page’s temporary memory, rather than saved in cookies or longer-term browser storage. We do not automatically add your IP address or account information to these chat records. Information you include in a question may still be recorded.

Automated checks attempt to remove email addresses and phone numbers from the question and matching details repeated in the answer before saving this record. These checks can miss information and do not remove names, street addresses or every other personal detail. Please do not include personal information in chat. We also use your IP address to limit how many requests you can make. For abuse prevention, we send OpenAI a coded identifier generated from your IP address. This identifier can link requests from the same IP address, so it should not be considered anonymous.

Services we use and who receives information

Vercel hosts and runs the website and handles technical information about website use and security, which can include IP addresses, browser details, web addresses, times and errors. Neon stores the chat records. OpenAI processes assistant conversations. Resend handles enquiry messages for delivery. The company providing the receiving email inbox also handles delivered messages. Website administrators may access records as needed for support, security, enquiries and privacy requests.

More information is available in Vercel’s privacy notice, Neon’s privacy notice, Resend’s privacy notice and OpenAI’s data controls. We may also share information where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not sell the personal information collected through this website or use it to target advertising based on activity across different websites or services (cross-context behavioural advertising).

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics 4 loads only after you accept analytics. It receives codes stored in cookies, visited pages, information about how you reached the site, approximate location, device and browser information, site language and the model, finish or filters you use. It measures actions such as catalog downloads, product exploration, assistant use and enquiries. We do not send enquiry messages, contact details or assistant question text to Analytics. Advertising signals and ad personalisation are disabled. Under the account’s data-sharing settings, Google may also use Analytics data to improve its products and services, produce combined statistics, provide technical support and offer business recommendations. Read how Google uses information from partner sites.

Rejecting analytics does not affect other site features. You can change your choice through Cookie settings in the footer. If you withdraw consent, we stop collecting analytics data, remove Analytics cookies that the website can access and reload the page to stop Google Analytics from running. This does not delete data Google already collected. We use your saved analytics choice for up to 180 days before asking again. If your browser cannot save it, the choice applies only to the current page session. Analytics cookies, including _ga and _ga_ identifiers, are set to expire after 180 days. Detailed records of events, such as page views and downloads, and user activity are kept for 14 months; summary reports that combine activity from visitors follow different rules.

The NEXT_LOCALE cookie remembers a language you choose for one year and contains only its language code. Versions of the site that require a Vercel login may also use cookies to keep you signed in. The website does not automatically change your saved analytics choice in response to browser privacy signals called Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control; use Cookie settings to reject or withdraw analytics.

Why we use information and our legal bases

We use information to respond to enquiries, provide the requested assistant, review questions, improve the website and protect its operation. Where the law requires a legal basis for these uses, we rely on your consent for optional analytics; taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, where relevant to an enquiry; our legitimate interests in answering enquiries, operating, securing and improving the site and reviewing assistant quality; and legal obligations where applicable. We rely on legitimate interests only where the use is necessary for these purposes and your interests and rights do not override those interests. You may object to uses based on legitimate interests, subject to applicable law.

Where information is processed

The companies providing these services may handle information in the United States and other countries. The chat database is in US East (Northern Virginia). Privacy laws in those countries may differ from those where you live. The safeguards described in the providers’ applicable data-protection terms include approved contract terms for sending personal information abroad (standard contractual clauses) and, where applicable, transfers covered by an adequacy decision. Which safeguards apply depends on the provider and service. Contact info@venatusarms.com to ask about the safeguards relevant to your information.

How long information is kept

We keep chat records in the database used by the website for 90 days. An automatic daily cleanup deletes records older than 90 days, and these records are also deleted before chat records are downloaded. The database provider may also keep information so it can restore an earlier version of the database. Authorised users may download copies of chat records. Deleting a record from the website’s database does not automatically erase these downloads or all information kept for database recovery.

Enquiry emails are kept to handle the enquiry, related follow-up and necessary business or legal recordkeeping, rather than under a fixed automatic deletion schedule. Technical records of website activity and errors (runtime logs) are kept for the period set in our hosting service. Providers may keep separate security and service records under their own terms. Copies kept to restore the database follow the database provider’s recovery settings. Information your browser fills in automatically, prepared emails and text copied to your clipboard are also subject to your device and email-app settings.

Your choices and privacy rights

You can browse without giving contact details, decline analytics and withdraw analytics consent through Cookie settings. Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy of your information, correct it, request deletion, ask us to limit how it is used or object to certain uses, receive a copy in a format you can reuse or transfer, withdraw consent and complain to a relevant privacy authority. Exceptions may apply, including where records must be kept for legal obligations or claims. Exercising your rights will not result in unlawful discrimination.

Send requests to info@venatusarms.com and describe what you need. For a chat record, the approximate date, time and question can help us locate it; the random conversation code alone may not identify you. We ask only for information reasonably needed to confirm your identity and find records. Do not attach identity documents unless we specifically ask for them through an appropriate process. We respond within the deadlines required by applicable law, explain any legally permitted refusal, and explain how to appeal where required. You can ask for a decision to be reconsidered through the same email address.

Younger visitors

This website is intended for adult audiences and is not directed at children. Children should not submit personal information through the contact form or assistant. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact info@venatusarms.com with enough detail to locate it. If we learn that we have collected children’s personal information and the law requires us to remove it, we take steps to delete it and handle any further use as required by law.

Updates to this notice

The date above identifies the latest revision. We update this notice when our practices change. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page and, where required, communicated directly or accompanied by a request for fresh consent.
